Thanks for supporting our holiday movie, the 1970s porno-chic oddity The Passions of Carol which stands out for adapting Charles Dickens for the adult movie audience. This is a particularly unusual choice since Charles Dickens A Christmas Carol is decidedly anti-capitalism in favor of the joy of traditional family values, i.e. heteronormative marriage and children. So it is downright bizarre to find a porn flick that espouses traditional family values over those sold by the the adult industry, those of sexual autonomy and sexual commerce.
And to help fill attendees Christmas stockings, we held our first raffle of some fantastic donated items including a book on making erotic home movies, a tin of caramels, a $25 gift certificate for Scarecrow Video and an erotic string art project. Thanks to all that participated in the raffle and I hope the prizes are being enjoyed.
