For the holiday season, it seemed appropriate to celebrate with a Shaun Costello’s pornographic adaptation of Charles Dicken’s A Christmas Carol, The Passions of Carol, simply because it is amazing that someone to made an adult Christmas film.
Jeremy Richey calls the film “One of the key works from legendary adult-auteur Shaun Costello, The Passions of Carol (1975) is among the strangest and most effective films of its kind ever made. Shot on 16 mm, for less than 20,000 dollars over a two-week period in late 1975, The Passions of Carol is Costello’s quite startling and extremely entertaining updating of Charles Dicken’s timeless A Christmas Carol, only it is quite unlike any other film version of it ever released” Read the full review.
As always, The Passions of Carol will screen at the Grand Illusion Cinema on Saturday, December 10th, 9pm. Tickets are $9 (cash only).
We will be having a raffle before the show so bring a few extra dollars for an opportunity to win an amazing erotic string art project, or other fine potential holiday gifts.
And SECS FEST submissions are open. Get your films submitted before our December 16, early bird deadline as submission fees will increase.
