SECS Fest

SECS Fest is a sex-positive international film festival celebrating the artistry of erotic cinema while inspiring diverse communities to engage in adult conversations about sex.

SECS Fest aims to bring world-class erotic cinema to Seattle audiences in an annual festival including short films, features, documentary, and archival films. With an attention to selecting films that are inclusive of authentic adult sexual expression, the films will show a diversity of representations: race/ethnicity, sexual orientation, kink, body-type and standards of beauty, age, and ability. And it is through the exhibition of authentic sexuality alongside opportunities for audiences to participate in discussions and post-screening Q&A sessions that the festival can act as a catalyst for honest, non-judgmental conversations and the spreading of sex-positive values.

We held a small festival in 2013 as part of the Seattle Erotic Art Festival at the Grand Illusion Cinema. That year we had two archival programs presented by Dennis Nyback, a short film program and one feature, Remedy. In 2017, we were able to expand the offerings to a full three days of films, including 3 shorts programs, 4 feature length erotic films, and 2 classic erotic films.

SECS Fest 2018 launches on Friday, September 7 with the Pacific Northwest premiere of Fantasy. Over three days, the festival will exhibit new works including 2 features & 28 short films, from 10 countries, and Dr. David Church will present 2 archival programs.

SECS Fest is an 18+ event.
